No resale option

Hi, I have 2 tickets to Laufey gig but I cannot go due to an unforeseen problem. I don't have the sell option on the app, only the transfer. I can't remember if the promoter or the venue prewarned me before buying  but I paid £300+ for them and now they will be wasted. I don't know anyone who i can transfer them to. Anyone had a similar experience? Thanks.
